Late this afternoon, December 9th, 2024, Avibras was surprised by the unilateral communication from the possible national investor to the Metalworkers' Union of São José dos Campos and Region, the Metalworkers' Union of Lorena, the Engineers' Union of the State of São Paulo and also to the local press. The message informed Avibras of the withdrawal of the proposal made by the possible investor for a labor agreement, negotiated with the unions, as well as the withdrawal from fulfilling the conditions precedent to the closing of the investment contract.
Although Avibras has fulfilled all its obligations, the potential investor has decided not to extend the contract. The investor has the contractual right to withdraw from the investment at any time and for any reason. The company accepts this decision and will maintain confidentiality obligations in accordance with the agreement signed.
The company is already in contact with another potential investor in order to proceed with the negotiations necessary to carry out the investment. We will share further information on the progress of this process within the next few days.
We recognize that this news is causing frustration and insecurity for everyone involved, but the company reaffirms its commitment to continue working to make the investment necessary to get Avibras back on its feet viable.
