Avibras Unidade de Catalogacao

On 18 November, Avibras' facility in Jacareí received a technical visit from the Defence Logistics Systems Support Centre (CASLODE), an agency of the Ministry of Defence, with the aim of re-evaluating the company as a Cataloguing Unit (UniCat). The military delegation, composed of Navy Captain (RM1) Alessander de Paiva Nunes, 1st Sergeant Carlos Eduardo Silva Lima, and 3rd Sergeant Tiago da Silva de Mello, verified in loco Avibras' competence and structure in providing cataloguing services, a step that is part of the process of recertifying the company as a leading UniCat for the Brazilian Defence Industrial Base (BID). The military personnel concluded their visit expressing satisfaction with what they observed and optimism about the company's recovery.

Avibras was the first private company in Brazil authorised to act as a UniCat with the Ministry of Defence, reinforcing its pioneering spirit and recognised expertise in this area. UniCats are entities authorised to provide cataloguing services for supply items used by or of interest to the Armed Forces.

Since 2016, Avibras has been performing and marketing the cataloguing service, which includes the collection of technical data for the identification of items and their organisation according to the cataloguing standard of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). This process brings international visibility to the products, strengthens their insertion in the foreign market and provides economic and operational benefits in the area of logistics.

Avibras, which remains a benchmark in this segment in Brazil and abroad, thanks the CASLODE delegation for their visit and reinforces its partnership built over the years.
