Continuing the negotiations to validate the possible acquisition of control of Avibras by a Brazilian investor, representatives of the company and the investor presented a new proposal to the São José dos Campos Metalworkers' Union on Friday, November 22, in response to the agenda presented by the union on November 19.
Sensitive to the points raised by the workers, this proposal brought an important step forward in the negotiations, covering most of the demands made by the workers, such as a proposal for alternative and partial payment of the fines, progress in the negotiations to re-establish the health plan (the provider has already been contacted) and payment of the 13th salary on December 20, 2024 and the December salary on December 30, 2024, among other items on the agenda.
The new proposal is conditional on the eventual closing of the purchase of Avibras, the approval of the workers and the end of the strike. We reiterate that the union and the employees play an important role in the company's recovery process and their decision will be fundamental to the eventual closing of the acquisition or even to its unfeasibility.
After hearing the new tentative proposal presented, the union rejected it and brought a counter-proposal reiterating the items already requested at the previous meeting.
The company's representatives rejected the counter-proposal, and a new meeting has been scheduled for November 28.
Avibras and the investor remain confident and committed to concluding the transaction.
Further updates on the process will be shared in due course.
